Day 2 - teambuilding, non-formal learning & Youth in Action programme, mapping down the key terms connected to migration

Hello World!

We are back in our seminar room with full of emotions from yesterday - getting to know our group and also meeting local people in Kiviõli.

The start of the day we have to accomplish 14 tasks in 30 minutes. It is called Mission Impossible.
Some of the tasks that we have to do are:
  • Take a group picture front of Tuhamägi
  • One person have to wear 27 t-shirts and 19 pairs of socks
  • Collecting things whose name starts with letters from A-Z
  • etc.
Our group is working hard for one goal to achieve it, even if in the end some of the tasks were uncompleted.

Before lunch we share our own experiences connected to the topic of migration. We get to know how much knowledge we have inside our group. And we have plenty of it!

In afternoon we get into groups of 5 and discuss about the characteristics of non-formal education. We also get to know the difference of non-formal, informal and formal education. This seminar is definitely non-formal learning experience, which is funded by Youth in Action. The session ends with a huge quiz about Youth in Action programs. You can find more information about the Youth in Action here.

Before dinner we get into the topic of migration more deeply. The room is covered with all the letters of alphabet and our job is to find words with all the letters connected to the migration. In the end we get into smaller groups and define the most important words about migration for us.
We presented the definitions of the words to everyone.

The day ends with the I Cultural Evening presented by 4 countries - Bulgaria, Spain, Romania and Hungary.

We learned how proud Bulgarians are about their country, how many controversial traditions Spain has, learned to dance Romanian dances and sing Hungarian song. It is wonderful evening with traditional food and drinks.

Thank you!
